As everyone knows, the Quintette du Hot Club de France was a group without drums or trumpets— five string instruments gathered around the brilliant Jean-Baptiste "Django" Reinhardt, later joined by the elegant violin of Stéphane Grappelli or the distinctly Goodman-esque clarinet of Hubert Rostaing.
