Marie Livingstone Quartet

Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening that revives the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).

Marie Livingstone is one of the promising voices of the Parisian jazz scene. After a resolutely eclectic musical career, from lyrical singing to contemporary music, including gospel choirs and hip-hop dance, it is finally in jazz that she finds the ideal alliance between freedom and demand, improvisation and tradition. She has since performed in Parisian jazz clubs and offers a generous and embodied interpretation of the great standards, with a sense of phrasing and swing that is inspired by the greatest (Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, etc.)
