‘Expect the unexpected!’ Surrounded by exceptional musicians and her two daughters, who are also singers, Anne Carleton presents a sensitive, free-spirited and deeply human concert-tribute, in which music, poetry and philosophy intertwine in a single breath. Edgar Morin, a great thinker and humanist, has bequeathed to us a free, curious and deeply vibrant way of thinking. It is this spirit that we shall celebrate, centred on the album *So High*, recorded with his participation and acclaimed by TSF JAZZ, *Jazz Magazine* and *Les Inrocks*.

Through her own compositions, those by Jean-Philippe Viret and Carine Bonnefoy, and a few reimagined jazz standards, Anne Carleton explores what connects us all: love, hope, freedom, childhood, resilience and that mysterious force that always enables us to rise above.

Edgar Morin’s voice, at the heart of the album, accompanies the journey like a benevolent conscience. “I chose to meet Edgar Morin and incorporate his voice into *So High* because I found in him an echo of my own path. His perspective on the world and on humanity inspires me deeply and enlightens me.”
