Pianist Baptiste Bailly wanted to bring together in this album many influences from the world of so-called traditional music, powerful and deep sources of inspiration. Spain, musette, Celtic and Mediterranean music, and impressionism thus come together and intertwine in a great nomadic and dreamy ball. The melodic sensitivity and the space left for improvisation give back to the traditions evoked all their living strength, in a delicate and poetic album.
"Pianist with a delicate sound and clear and poetic melodies, Baptiste Bailly drew inspiration for his latest album, La Fascinante, from some Mediterranean or oriental traditions, without abandoning the impressionist imagination that he has made his own." Télérama
"Baptiste Bailly's talent shines through with La Fascinante, drawing from a source of melodies that seems never to run dry, he confirms the clarity and sensitivity of his touch. A deeply endearing album." Alice Leclerc - Jazz News
