Hailing from Martinique, Joanne Dolly lights up the Parisian stage with a rare intensity! A singer, double bassist, and flutist, she moves between genres with disconcerting ease. Her musical world is an organic fusion of gospel, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, where every note exudes freedom and passion.
On stage, she doesn’t just perform: she lives, she shares, she transports. Her double bass becomes a dance partner, her voice a wave that brings people together. Each performance transforms into a collective ritual—somewhere between celebration, trance, and prayer.
Inspired by legendary figures such as Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, and Esperanza Spalding, Joanne nevertheless forges a singular, radiant identity, rooted in the moment. She writes her own story, blending incandescent groove with unvarnished poetry.
Collaborating with musicians such as Bernard Vidal, Benjamin Thiébault, and Bastien Rigolle, she weaves a connection between jazz, soul, and Caribbean vibes.
With Joanne Dolly, music becomes a breath, a smile, a force that strikes right at the heart
