Antoine Brochot Quartet

Double bassist originally from Paris currently living in Switzerland, Antoine Brochot presents his new quartet to you through the album "Fundamentum". Claiming jazz with sometimes hip-hop or pop accents, this Franco-Swiss quartet is partly inspired by the current New York scene. The different protagonists each find a place of choice to express their talents as improvisers, in arrangements that are meditative or sulphurous. Symbolically, "Fundamentum" refers to the deep rooting between humans and Earth, which is increasingly lacking in our modern societies. Music refers to different earth elements, sources of life and energy.
