Professional area
Composer, pianist and passionate traveler, Stéphane Tsapis has been working for a long time building bridges between his Mediterranean roots and this gateway to the world that represents the multicultural Paris in which he grew up. He is preparing two new albums for 2019. "Le piano oriental", solo album with the complicity of the designer Zeina Abirached and "Le Tsapis volant" which you will hear some excerpts tonight. "Le Tsapis volant" drinks from the ports of an inspired and inspiring Mediterranean: Alexandria, Salonika, Marseille, Istanbul, via Piraeus and Hermoupolis, a cosmopolitan and colorful universe told by the voices of Cybele Castoriadis, Gulay Hacer Toruk and Lynn Adib. An imaginary journey that will bring together the poets Nazim Hikmet and Nikos Kavvadias and Mahmoud Darwich where the musicians will trace the wanderings of Panait Istrati or the voluptuous wanderings of Constantine Kavafis.
