The trio suggests, in this beautiful recording, the piece « Tuning », born from the first two notes played by the piano tuner who came to tune the piano when the world reopened in May 2020. This tune evokes the connection and reconnection of mind and soul while « Further and further, deeper and deeper » is bout advancing inside ourselves despite external constraints. In summer, these restrictions have been lifted. You will hear the pleasure of liberating ourselves to the rediscovery of colors through the landscapes of the French Riviera as the world has been opened again in « Écho d’Azur » and « Summer Unleashed ». A breeze from southern Japan, where Rié was born and where the trio travleled together, blows over the last song with the Ryūkyū (the old Okinawa) scale. A wind which brings hope for a better tomorrow. On the way to their creation, the album was enriched with two collaborations « Sugarcane Rain » and « The One » with the renowned British lyricist Chris Mosdell (Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Ryuichi Sakamoto & YMO etc.) as well as colorful harmonies by young Parisian singers. Come and discover a new approach to Jazz of this one of a kind French-Japanese trio !
