The For A Word project marks an independent jazz-pop direction, different from the Gauthier Toux repertoire. This project was born at the Cully Jazz Festival 2018 during a carte blanche residency offered to Gauthier. He invited the Lucerne singer Léa Fries (Vsitor, 22 ° Halo), Geneva drummer Valentin Liechti (Taiga, Vsitor, 22 ° Halo) and French bassist Julien Herné (Vincent Peirani, Emile Parisien, Nicolas Folmer and Axel Bauer. ..). With this intense experience, Gauthier decided to make it his fourth album. Between December 2017 and December 2018, the group organized 5 working residencies of 3 days during which were created and recorded models of what will be the album entitled "For a word". The theme of the disc revolves around "words", sounds. It is a music meeting jazz, improvised music, independent pop and electronic music. An exclusive with a major pianist.

Gauthier Toux – piano, fender Rhodes
