Mario Canonge & Michel Zenino Invitent Tangorra
#LesVoixAuPluriel #11

It all starts with a piano / double bass duo imagined by Mario and Michel… A foolproof meeting every Wednesday at 7 p.m. around jazz standards, Caribbean and Latin music. The formula may seem banal but the bet is risky! It was 14 years ago and the magic still works. It must be said that the stature of Michel Zenino with his double bass impresses, he jokes with his instrument and never flinches. Mario Canonge is the quintessential “cool cat”: his game, his speed and his pace are renowned. Almost without speaking, one plays a few notes, the other nods and accompanies him. The public is invited to this meeting, witness to a dialogue between two great jazz musicians!
As part of the Festival Les Voix Au Pluriel, they join forces with Annick Tangorra. Singer, author, composer, she demonstrates once again and in the greatest simplicity that she counts today, among the most moving voices of jazz. Mix of content lyricism, carnal elegance and refined sensuality. His great rhythmic ease and his magnificent vocal technique are at the service of music that is both festive, languid and melancholic.
