It all starts with a piano / double bass duo imagined by Mario and Michel… A foolproof meeting every Wednesday at 7 p.m. around jazz standards, Caribbean and Latin music. The formula may seem banal but the bet is risky! It was 14 years ago and the magic still works. It must be said that the stature of Michel Zenino with his double bass impresses, he jokes with his instrument and never flinches. Mario Canonge is the quintessential “cool cat”: his game, his speed and his pace are renowned. Almost without speaking, one plays a few notes, the other nods and accompanies him.
