As its name suggests, Orient-Occident (East-West) is a “hyphenated” group, a bridge between the musical traditions of the Mediterranean rim.
An emotional shock more than a clash of cultures, term far too brutal as those presented tonight blend into each other.

The music they perform comes from Armenia, Morocco, Turkey, Greece, France … A mix of several countries all arranged in their own way. It is an exciting human and musical story filled with love and exchange, where the virtuosity of the instrumentalists is put at the service of pure emotion.

Come, we’ll take you on a trip for a night …

Mahmoud Chouki, Morocco (guitar, vocals), Ahmet Misirli, Turkey (percussion), Eleftheria Daoultzi, Greece (kanun), Aurore Voilqué, France (violin, vocals), Stéphane Chapuis, Switzerland (accordion) & Samuel Pont, Switzerland (double bass)
