Mariana Zwarg is the daughter of Itibêré Zwarg - a bassist of Hermeto Pascoal and a smuggler of the avant-garde Musica Universal, founded by the huge Brazilian musician and composer. Mariana is practically born between two rehearsals of Hermeto Pascoal's group. Since his birth, Hermeto her godfather, guide her steps, with her father Maesto Itiberé. Flutist, saxophonist, composer and arranger, Marianna Zwarga played in numerous festivals and concert halls throughout South America and Europe, with Itibere Zwarg & Grupo for the last 15 years. In 2016 she set up her own group "Mariana Zwarg Sexteto Universal" taking up the torch and becoming naturally, in Brazil, leader of the third generation playing and broadcasting "universal music". Universal music knows no borders and embraces, the classical, the jazz and the folklores of the world, plunging its roots in the traditional Brazilian rhythms and reinventing itself constantly with freshness and vitality!
