The Togetherness Ensemble carries high the torch of today's free and adventurous jazz. The eleven tracks on the album manage to transcend eras and styles. The musicians of the quintet solicit their memory as much as their imagination, to find an extension to the personal compositions, which always know how to be beyond fashions and labels. By thus fanning the embers of History, the spirit of freedom of the quintet is perfectly preserved, in particular through the constant balance of the 5 soloists, and their inspiration always renewed over the songs.
