Edouard Pennes & Gustav Lundgren Quartet

AGE was founded in Paris early 2017. The initiative came from the bass player Edouard Pennes & guitarist Gustav Lundgren (Sweden) who had played together in numerous constellations since 2011. Edouard had been sharing the band stand with saxophonist Adrien Sanchez for many years in Paris and decided to involve him in the new project. The band did a tour in France in May 2017 together with the drummer Guilhem Flouzat who just had moved back to Paris from NYC. They played a lot of different compositions during the first tour including music from the American Songbook. Later the same year the group got together and recorded 4 songs by Gustav Lundgren and 2 songs by Adrien Sanchez which resulted in the album ”Five Hours”. The album has a quite unique & contemporary sound.
