Heir to the Cuban lyrical tradition and avant-garde musician, Roman Filiu can as well accompany the explorations of Steve Coleman and Henry Threadgill that play the aubade on "Igbo Alakorin", the last record of the pianist David Virelles. He has been living in New York for about twenty years, including Dafnis Prieto, Billy Hart, Thomas Morgan, Matt Brewer and Johnathan Finlayson. Drummer Guilhem Flouzat, collaborator of Sullivan Fortner, Ben Wendel and Becca Stevens invites us to discover this universe where we meet hypnotic claves, the influence of Bartok and the bop, accompanied by a discreet hero of the French piano, Maxime Sanchez and TBA on double bass. Our favorite.

Guilhem Flouzat – drums
Roman Filiu – sax
Maxime Sanchez – piano
tba – double bass
