Boney Fields, the missing link between Lucky Peterson, James Cotton and Trombone Shorty. Trumpeter and singer from Chicago, Boney Fields, belongs to this generation of African-American artists born to tame the scene. The funk and blues, these two sides of the same Great Black Music, Boney Fields merges faithfully and with all the know-how of a career spent roaming the scenes around the world, with gaming partners such as Lucky Peterson, Luther Allison, James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Liz Mc Comb, but also George Clinton, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley or Bootsy Collins. Far from the glitters of the Show Biz, it is on stage that Boney Fields learns the trade and enriches his art. It's there that he ends up forging his own style, a retro-futuristic blend of blues and copper funk. A tireless showman, Boney Fields takes his music around the world and it's during these shows that he prowls the vibrant repertoire of his 6th album "Bump City". And so it is on the stage of the Sunset that he will come to see him play his new collection of "real songs", interpreted, as said Prince, "by real musicians".
