It was during a trip to New Orleans, after playing in several clubs, that Francis Guero and Christian Vaudecranne decide to form an orchestra. The decision is made while enjoying an enormous plateau of oysters in the Gulf of Mexico, hence the origin of the name of the group "Oyster Brothers".

They play a jazz firmly anchored in the "New Orleans" spirit, but always open to the various evolutions of this music… Alternating rhythms and ambiances from Swing to Shuffle, Ballads and Blues, New Orleans Street Beat flirting with a funk with Caribbean accents ... Influence of the old masters of the beginning of jazz and revival, mixed of modernity.

The music is dancing, and resolutely dynamic. The two soloists are musicians of the "fiery" kind and the three rhythmists do more than support them, they propel them!
The aesthetic intentionally very "roots", privileging the collective improvisation, is reinforced by the songs and scats of Jerome and Christian.

Christian Vaudecranne (soprano saxophone, vocals), Francis Guero (trombonne), Jérôme Arlet (banjo, vocals), Yves Buffetrille (bass) & Benoît Aupretre (drums)
