George Gershwin is one of the very few 20th century composers to be as well known and admired in the world of classical music - "Porgy and Bess" & "Rhapsody in Blue" - as in the world of jazz when countless performers have appropriated his works (Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday ...).

It is in this repertoire of songs with extremely varied melodies that Mathilde Ferry and Fabien Ruiz decided to draw together to write a musical show, a joyful and elegant homage to this "wonderful" composer!

But beyond the music, "WONDERFUL GERSHWIN" also tells through words, the blazing life of this genius who died prematurely - at the age of 38 - leaving behind a colossal work and an inimitable style!

Mathilde Ferry (vocals, clappers), Laurent Epstein (piano), Jean-Pierre Rebillard (double bass) & Sylvain Glevarec (drums) + Fabien Ruiz : Artistic collaboration (choreographer of the movie "THE ARTIST")
