Olga Amelchenko Quartet

Olga Amelchenko was born in 1988 in Russia. She started singing in choir at the age of 5, played piano and Dombra, studied choir conducting, then switched to saxophone. In 2006, Olga moved to Novosibirsk, where she studied jazz at the College of music. In 2012, she moved to Cologne (Germany) where she studied for two years at the Hochschule for Musik und Tanz with Wolfgang Engstfeld. In 2018 she attended Jazz Institut Berlin and became involved in european jazz scene. Now living in Paris, she began to combine musical collaborations and her personal projects. Some of the best jazz musicians of the Paris scene have joined her brand new quartet and play her compositions.
