Drawing inspiration from his travels, from Mali to Kenya, via China, Mongolia, Siberia, and after having traveled a few American roads and strolled his guitar in the Antilles, these are indeed French songs that Sohella sings us, sometimes with a few Russian flights, as if to wink at its origins. Cradled by French artists, such as Georges Brassens, Francis Cabrel, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Mano Solo, and black-American and mixed-race artists such as Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper, Robert Johnson, Ella Fitzgerald, or Ayo, she creates a road with multiple influences. Very early attracted by the Gospel, she worked for more than 10 years with Georges Seba, the gospel choir of Paris, Eternity Gospel Choir and New Gospel Family. A medium and mature tone of voice, captivating music imposed by the state of mind of his two acolytes, Thierry Fanfant and Vincent Faucher.

THIERRY FANFANT

A rich, open and generous musicality, probably inherited from its Caribbean roots and an indisputable artistic lineage. Thierry Fanfant has accompanied, supported and guided artists from all walks of life with impeccable thoroughness and constant enthusiasm. From Papa Wemba to Angélique Kidjo, from Lokua Kanza to Carlos Santana, her performances have been unanimous. He could almost enter the Guinness Book of Records, having taken part in more than 800 recordings in the space of 40 years.
