As part of the festival: #FestivalEstivalDeJam
  • Tuesday August, 11th 2020
  • 9:00 PM
  • Baiser Salé
  • Free entrance

At the Baiser Salé, we take advantage of the summer to spend free and festive musical evenings at the Festival Estival de Jam, from August 3 to September 2.

More than a simple concert, the jam is an opportunity to discover outstanding musicians, to see them having fun improvising together. It is the feeling of participating in a unique moment.

One hour of concert lays the foundations and launches the theme of the evening in homage to an artist then a jam takes us until the end of the night.

Formed in 1971 by Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter, Weather Report was one of the first jazz fusion groups and one of the most influential to this day. Jazz freedom and highly structured compositions, elements of rock, funk and electro, ultimately deliberately multicultural world music that defies all precedent and all categorization, a real revolution in jazz fusion of the 1970s and 1980s.

Nora Kamm's music is heavily influenced by African rhythms and by her collaborations with Manu Dibango and Cheick Tidiane Seck. Winner of the "Soliste Selmer" prize at the Tremplin Jeunes Talents 2014 in Paris, her album Source is elected "Révélation" Jazz Magazine. It brings together around her, Romain Labaye, bassist of Nguyen Lê, Scott Henderson ..., Dharil Esso, winner of the Wikidrummers Festival and Edison Knight, spontaneous and curious pianist inspired by soul, funk or even hip-hop.

Musicians in search of emotions, the jam will be The Place to Be!
