A little shy, a little bad boy, a bit Madmen, he communicates with freshness an energy that invites to party, to the frenzied evenings that characterize the mythical carnival of New Orleans on the occasion of Mardi Gras.

With Gumbo Kings, Matthieu Boré returns to the source and to his unconditional love for New Orleans, the point of confluence of African, Caribbean and European music, the mixture of which constitutes the cradle of popular American music.
Is it a coincidence, as it is true that the first Mayor of New Orleans was a certain Etienne Boré!

A journey that draws its inspiration from masters of the genre such as Professor Longhair, Dr John, Allen Toussaint or The Meters.

Matthieu Boré (vovals, piano), Jeanne Michard (clarinet, tenor saxophone), Josiah Woodson (trumpet), Peter Giron (double bass) & Jeff Boudreaux (drums)
