Jam Session Tribute To Chick Corea

At the Baiser Salé, we take advantage of the summer to spend festive musical evenings at the Jam Estival Festival, from July 17 to September 2, 2021, every evening from 9:00 p.m. free entry. More than a simple concert, the jam is an opportunity to discover outstanding musicians, to see them having fun improvising together. It is the feeling of participating in a unique moment. One hour of concert lays the foundations and launches the theme of the evening in homage to an artist then a jam took us until the end of the night.

It is with great emotion that François Constantin and his guests will pay tribute to this great musician, Chick Corea, who left us on February 9th, through this very special jam.
From his beginnings in the 1960s, from Latin jazz to avant-garde through jazz-rock or jazz fusion (his favourite style), Chick Corea has influenced many musicians in one way or another, and particularly the pianists who play at the Baiser Salé. He never stopped playing, experimenting, and surprising us.
François Constantin invites Christophe Cravero, pianist of Billy Cobham, Etienne Mbappé and influenced by Brad Mehldau and Chick Coréa ; Nicolas Viccaro, drummer of Etienne Mbappé and Dhafer Youssef ; Gilles Coquard, former member of Cap'tain Mercier, of Nilda Fernandez... A 5-star line-up that will pay tribute to a jazz legend.
