Clelya Abraham Quartet

Subtle mixture and varied universes, the quartet plunges us at the crossroads of Caribbean, Reunion, classical and modern jazz music. Far from being frozen, he gives free rein to imagination and improvisation, to surprise the audience at all times. - Clélya Abraham develops very early a passion for the composition, can concentrate around the piano. At the age of 18, she turned more particularly to Jazz, Nu Soul and World Music (Africa, Caribbean, Reunion, Brazil), styles in which she flourishes thanks to the freedom given by the improvisation.

Following numerous encounters during her years of study at the CRR in Paris, then at the Didier Lockwood Music Center, and after several residencies at the Baiser Salé Jazz-Club, the young pianist is at the start of a growing career. She performs concerts in various projects, as a leader or sidewoman (Abraham Trio, Maë Defays, Crafting quintet, Teddy Sorrès, Ora project, etc…).

This third year of residency is therefore an opportunity for her to deepen her various projects, but above all to continue to explore and share new experiences, with renowned musicians ... So let yourself be seduced and #BeCurieux!
