Ismail Sentissi Trio

Ismail Sentissi's first album, Genoma, is a dreamlike journey to the lands of his childhood reminiscences, where the melody carried by his piano are stoked by the rhythms of Cedrick Bec's drums and Maurizio Congiu's double bass. Genoma evokes the ritualistic vibes of traditional Moroccan music, spiritual jazz, Sahelian blues, and occasionally the influence of the hard rock from his youth. It’s an instrumental tour in twelve stages that takes root in Morocco, lingers in Africa and dips into the Mediterranean. An album infused with jazz harmonies, polyrhythms and Moroccan modal colors.
