"A singer with an eminently personal universe, rich with a thousand flavours", TSF Jazz
"She is undoubtedly one of the most prominent musicians of the moment", La Terrasse
"Ellinoa's jazz, adventurous, exploratory and daring, brings the beauty of the world into our ears (and our hearts)" Femme Actuelle
"Unclassifiable magician, between jazz and experimental pop (...) An original artist with a crystalline voice, who is likely to leave her mark on the French scene. "Télérama
"In just five years since her first record, the singer, composer and songwriter Ellinoa has carved out her own niche in the heterogeneous world of jazz and improvised music, to become one of the most eclectic, unclassifiable and promising artists. "France Info
Centred around vocals and strings and coloured by the use of effects on instruments and voice, this quartet formula develops a dual identitý acoustic and electric, folk-pop but experimental, intimate and organic but with a broad and penetrating sound. Without sacrificing the subtlety of the arrangements and compositions that are Ellinoa's signature, it emphasizes interaction, improvisation and listening, led by the hyper-sensitivity of the singer and her acolytes.
Ophelia' refers to the Shakespearean character, the distraught lover of Hamlet whose life ends tragically. The journey of this fascinating, mysterious but devoted woman in search of the absolute is the common thread of this writing project.
The themes of water, dreams, desire, abandonment, letting go and fatality are transversal in the texts of the project's compositions and are underlined by its sound choices.
In this unclassifiable album, everything is done to immerse the listener in the narrative, with its reminders, its shifts, its breaks. A must listen!
