Jam Session Spécial Kurt Rosenwinkel

At the Baiser Salé, we take advantage of the summer to spend free and festive musical evenings at the Estival de Jam Festival, from July 17 to September 2, 2021, every evening from 9:00 p.m. More than a simple concert, the jam is an opportunity to discover outstanding musicians, to see them having fun improvising together. It is the feeling of participating in a unique moment. One hour of concert lays the foundations and launches the theme of the evening in homage to an artist then a jam takes us until the end of the night.

Endowed with prodigious dexterity, guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel has made a name for himself on the jazz scene since his debut in 1990. A member of the group Human Feel and the Paul Motian Electric Bebop Band, he participates in a number of sessions (over 'around sixty Brad Mehldau and Joshua Redman to rapper Q-Tip) and recorded a few albums under his name where creativity is relaxedly combined with virtuosity. The Next Step (2001), Heartcore (2003) or Our Secret World (2010) are among the musician's greatest achievements.

For this jam, 3 young daring and creative musicians. Noted very young for his virtuosity and his rich and dynamic compositions but also for his melodic lines, Tom Ibarra is programmed in national and international festivals and sometimes shares the stage alongside internationally renowned artists such as Didier Lockwood and Sylvain Luc in 2015, Marcus Miller in 2016, Thomas Enhco in 2017 and Richard Bona at NAMM 2017 in Los Angeles.

Now legendary rendezvous in the rue des Lombards and in all of Paris, the Monday evening jams guarantee good humor, discovery and reunion. A must for the Baiser Salé!
