Warren Vaché & Harry Allen

Warren Vaché is one of those unclassifiable musicians who find new personal ways to use the jazz tradition. It was for his eclecticism that he was chosen as a trumpeter by Benny Goodman, Rosemary Clooney, Hank Jones, Gerry Mulligan, Woody Herman, Bobby Short and Benny Carter.

Harry Allen, with whom he is teaming up this evening, has been dubbed the “Sinatra of the tenor saxophone”. He is also compared to Stan Getz and other saxophone masters like Ben Webster and Lester Young.
