Jam Session Caloé
Tribute to Cole Porter
American composer and songwriter Cole Porter has brought international momentum to the American musical. He made his Broadway debut with the musical See America First, but without success. He served the French Foreign Legion at the end of World War I and married in Paris to a wealthy American, Linda Lee Thomas while leading a life of playboy. Back on Broadway in 1928, Cole Porter is launched! He presents his first triumph, the musical «Paris». We owe him songs like «I Love Paris», «Night and Day»; «So Near and Yet So Far» became jazz standards and played during Jam like that of Caloé!
She sings jazz, improvises, interprets music from different cultures and writes music and words. She is a fervent admirer of Ella Fitzgerald and studies the "scat" with precision and technique to master it in her own way. Always surrounded by excellent musicians, she performs in France and abroad. Caloé has performed in many venues such as the Tribeca Arts Center in New York, the Zinco Jazz Club in Mexico City, the Cosmopolitan Hall in Oslo, the Fashing Jazz Club in Stockholm and various European festivals.
