Considered one of the most innovative and influential saxophonists of his generation, Miguel Zenón also developed a unique voice as a composer and designer, focusing his efforts on developing a subtle blend between Latin folk music- American and jazz. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Zenón has recorded and toured with a wide variety of musicians, including Charlie Haden, Fred Hersch, Kenny Werner, Bobby Hutcherson and Steve Coleman. He is also a founding member of the SFJAZZ Collective.
