Jean-Baptiste Hardy Trio

A young jazz and fingerstyle guitarist, Jean-Baptiste has been playing guitar for almost 25 years. After studying classical for 10 years, he devoured the fingerstyle repertoire of Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed and Marcel Dadi, then lived in Istanbul where he turned to jazz and made his first album On Verra.

Back in France in 2015, he formed a new trio with Benjamin Asnar on bass and Rory Quinn on drums, with whom a new opus will be released in 2018: Reprise. Alongside his trio project, JB regularly plays and performs solo, in a repertoire mixing folk, classical, fingerpicking and world music, as evidenced by the album Nouveau départ, also released in 2018. These multiple influences give him a unique playing and touch, supported by the virtuosity and complicity of Rory and Benjamin. Today, JB presents us his 2 facets, with the simultaneous release of his new solo album Confidences and his new trio production Which way.
