Arteskor Orkestra is a large jazz ensemble with an aesthetic borrowing from the “impressionist” current of French scholarly music from the beginning of the 20th century (Debussy, Ravel). The original compositions are by Laurent Bonnot. Ten exceptional musicians have come together to offer scholarly, contemporary music that is resolutely accessible to all. The “traditional” jazz Big Band is revisited. The flute and the oboe replace the trumpets, the clarinet, the soprano saxophone and the bass clarinet replace the saxophones and the horns take the place of the trombones. Counterpoint, more modern composition techniques as well as the contribution of the Sonata form are the foundation of Arteskor Orkestra. To celebrate the release on Juste Une Trace of the album HONG, the large ensemble will perform for a very first concert at the Bal Blomet. An unprecedented performance that can be listened to as one watches big cinema. The casting is dreamlike, the scenes follow one another, the dialogues are rich, the emotions flare up. Everything is planned meticulously, carefully and passionately. This is therefore a great first: the original compositions will be performed in public for the first time.
