50 years since John Coltrane left us. He remains without a doubt the most emblematic and enigmatic musician of contemporary jazz. A leader of the avant-garde movement in the 1960s, John Coltrane is today considered one of the most revolutionary and influential saxophonists in the history of jazz. Explorer of new timbres, harmonies and sonorities, Coltrane widens the conception of the musical capacities of the saxophone. His improvised, personal and dynamic music makes him one of the major figures of jazz. Noticed very early by the greatest for his virtuosity, his rich and dynamic compositions and his melodic lines, Tom Ibarra was very quickly programmed in national and international festivals.
