Nicolas Ruiz Quintet

Venezuelan guitarist and composer Nicolás Ruiz presents his new repertoire. A musical journey with the horizon of resilience, the one that we must collectively put in place for a better world. With music as his guide, jazz as his starting point and all the influences, cultures and sounds that have nourished him, he brings his stone to light the fire of hope, not to let it go out and to keep a courageous and living spirit. He met the famous drummer Philippe Soirat in 2015, at that time he was part of the "Simón Bolívar Big Band Jazz" of "El Sistema de Orquestas de Venezuela". Philippe was touring Venezuela with saxophonist Samy Thiebault's quartet, and this encounter was an unforgettable experience. It was around the same time at the University of the Arts in Venezuela that the guitarist met the singer and producer Speranza Galez.
