Guitarist and eclectic composer Stefano Carbonelli is one of the most inventive Italian musicians of his generation. Recently settled in Paris, he presents his latest album "Morphé" produced by the prestigious CAM Jazz label. The title announces itself as a true reflection of the theme of the work: the essence of form. The pieces take the form of articulated and unpredictable constructions that capture the listener and surprise him at every step. The contrapuntal writing is always sought after, offering a personal blend of neo-classical chamber music and modern jazz. Three avant-garde musicians accompany him: Matt Chalk, a saxophonist from Kansas (USA) currently artist in residence at the French-American Creative Exchange in La Courneuve, Etienne Renard, an active member of the French jazz scene who graduated from the CNSM, and Thomas Delor, a self-taught musician named one of the 20 jazzmen of 2018 by Libération, whose latest album, "Silence the 13th", has been acclaimed by the critics (4 stars in JazzMagazine, "Indispensable" by Paris Move, "Disque élu" by Citizen jazz).
