Pieternel Van Oers Trio

The repertoire of compositions by the Dutch pianist Pieternel van Oers takes the listener on a journey into her very personal world. With Tommaso Montagnani on double bass and Nicolas Signat on drums, the trio creates a balance between the musicians where each is both soloist and accompanist. Awarded the first prize for composition at the Sunside Trophies in 2021, the Pieternel Van Oers Trio offers us a universe that is at once poetic, surprising and moving, taking us from 2011, when Pieternel gave up a career as a mathematician, to her life as a jazz pianist in Paris today.
