Kristof Negrit Experiment

Born into a family of musicians, Kristof Negrit became interested in drums at the age of 6.
Tired of seeing him wear out the cushions and armrests of the family couch, his father goes in search of a battery not too expensive. Thus, at the age of 11, the Guadeloupean composer, drummer and percussionist meets the one he calls his «life partner»...
Immersed in the Konpa, popular music of Haiti, and the Zouk, that of Guadeloupe, it is naturally towards these genres that his practice turns.
Graduated in 2010 from the FNEIJMA and gold medalist of the Conservatory of Jazz of Tourcoing in 2012, Kristof becomes an eclectic Sideman of his kind and performs in many festivals like the Brussels Jazz in Belgium, the Biguine Jazz of Martinique or the Terre de Blues to Marie Galante. His various collaborations with top names such as Yann Negrit, Hervé Celcal, Max Cilla or Tony Chasseur, allow him to refine his musical orientation.

KRISTOF NEGRIT EXPERIMENT is the power of Caribbean music mixed with the influences of world music. Born of various key events in his life, Kristoph Negrit offers us an experimental repertoire in which his compositions, rearrangements and covers of songs that he loves mix.
