François Bernat Quartet

Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening that revives the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).

This evening, Alex Swing Events presents the group of double bass player François Bernat: after a first quartet around the music of Miles Davis, which will give birth to a very defective record, he continues his journey around this new project: a quartet without instrument harmonic, with Frédéric Borey (sax), Paco Andreo (trb), and Stéphane Adsuar (drums), whose repertoire is exclusively made up of personal compositions. A formation that leaves the possibility of creating open musical spaces, which sometimes give way to more intense collective improvisations, and a melodic writing in two voices, passionate in terms of composition...
