The Vintage Orchestra

Relying on the know-how of the Vintage Orchestra, the most Parisian of the big bands, the trumpeter Fabien Mary embarked on an impressive writing work from which emerged a whole original repertoire, in the great tradition of jazz in large. Fabien Mary builds on the legacy of the great arrangers of the 1960s who, from Gil Evans to Thad Jones via Bill Holman, raised big band composition to the rank of cathedral art.
