For this concert at the Entrepôt, Jacques Vidal asked trumpeter Julien Alour to revive the spirit and creativity of this eclectic genius who was the first - and perhaps the only - "star" of jazz, from his deceptively wise beginnings (with Round Midnight, for example, which he often played) to his funky period (Jean-Pierre).
