Antoine Madet Quintet

With his new quintet, saxophonist Antoine Madet presents a set of compositions in his own image: borrowed from a natural sweetness, the melodies roll and bounce on an original playing space, to unfold in a contrasting mix of solid acrobatic patterns and calmly undulating songs. In a subtle balance, the repertoire is also fleshed out with hard-bop style standards for which the classic jazz quintet formula excels.
