Sylvain Le Ray is a pianist and composer, he expresses an intense, sensitive and sometimes poetic music. Influenced by the modern jazz of Tiggran Hamasyan, Ben Wendel as well as his Breton origins, Sylvain Le Ray takes you on a journey between traditional, classical and jazz music...
Winner of the "Jeunes & Jazz" stage of the Jazz Festival in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, he graduated in musicology, obtained his DEM and the congratulations of the jury and became passionate about jazz as soon as he started playing in an orchestra. He participates in many projects and approaches a wide range of musical styles: Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, pop, traditional Breton music, electro, rock/folk, salsa, Brazilian music, Guadeloupean music...
His first album released in his name ("The Unchosen Way", August 2020) invites the listener into his imagination, drawing from jazz, classical and traditional music.
Central Park West Quartet, is a group nourished by jazz, anchored as much in modernity as in the purest tradition, that which smells of the good old vinyls of John Coltrane or Herbie Hancock, the cigarette in the clubs, where one feels the swing deep within us. Influenced by the second Quintet of Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, the young musicians have the will to bring this atmosphere up to date in their compositions and their arrangements. Come and discover this universe live!
Created in 2012, the #JazzFromTomorrow slot has given rise to a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies, allowing young artists to experiment on stage, to hone a repertoire, while presenting it to the public. A promising and promising niche where creativity and emulsion have no limits. #BeCurious!
