Sunday Jam Hosted By Caloé
Tribute to BETTY CARTER
Renowned for her talent for improvisation and her ability to transcend the standards in her repertoire, Betty Carter sang alongside Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis. In 1948, she toured with Lionel Hampton, honing her vocal skills. And in 1961, her duet with Ray Charles, "Baby, It's Cold Outside", opened the doors to fame...
Caloé sings jazz, improvises, performs music from different cultures and writes music and words. She is a fervent admirer of Ella Fitzgerald and studies scat with precision and technique to master it in her own way. Always surrounded by excellent musicians, she performs in France and abroad. Caloé has played in many places such as the Tribeca Arts Center in New York, the Zinco Jazz Club in Mexico City, the Cosmopolitan Hall in Oslo, the Fashing Jazz Club in Stockholm and various European festivals.
