Jam Session Hosted By François Constantin

At Baiser Salé, we have known François Constantin and his jam sessions for over thirty years! So as much to tell you, that he invited the whole French jazz scene to perform alongside him and that he knew how to make this weekly meeting an internationally known institution! Theater of improvised and generous evenings where all of Paris of all jazz meets, the high-perched club on rue des Lombards has lost count of the moments of magic, encounters and discoveries that have marked the last three decades!

On this new date of the Festival Estival de Jam, François Constantin pays tribute to one of the greatest jazz pianists of his generation: Michel Petrucciani. Influenced by Duke Ellington, Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett, Michel Petrucciani developed a swinging, lyrical and intimate personal style. His playing is characterized by a remarkable independence of the left and right hands and an exceptional speed of execution. Also a composer, Michel Petrucciani won 5 jazz victories.

At the Baiser Salé, we take advantage of the summer to spend unique musical evenings at the Festival Estival de Jam. For a month and a half, from July 22 to September 11, 150 musicians will parade: from the youngest to the most experienced!

You will have the opportunity to be amazed by a young 15-year-old American drummer, by rising artists or musicians who are already benchmarks. The themes are catchy and will appeal to as many people as possible: you don't need to be a musician to come and enjoy the special energy of these open stages. It is in these moments that we witness fleeting musical emotions and unpredictable encounters. After an hour of concert, which lays the foundations and sets the tone, it's time for the JAM!!
