Samuel F'Hima is a regular at the Baiser Salé and especially at the various jams that are held there! It is quite natural that he takes the reins of this jam in tribute to Eroll Garner. Influenced by Scott LaFaro, Ron Carter, Dave Holland or Avishai Cohen in jazz double bass, he also likes to develop his musical culture around bands and musicians like the Brecker Brothers, Jeff Beck, Prince or even Rage Against the Machine. This eclectic side also led him to play electric bass, where he discovered Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller, although the double bass remains his favorite instrument.
Erroll Garner is a self-taught pianist and one of the most gifted improvisers that jazz has ever known. With his own unique style, he used his unflappable left hand as a rhythm instrument, while his right hand danced across the piano keys with incredible control. His approach to jazz is both original and modern, and his music is influenced by the Big Bands, Art Tatum and Fats Waller. In 1954, he was recognized as a jazz star with the song "Misty".
The SUNDAY JAM is an unmissable event with an unbeatable fusion atmosphere!
