Jam Session With Simon Chivallon
Tribute to NAT KING COLE
Icon, idol, model... Emblematic figure of jazz in the twentieth century, Nat King Cole was a committed musician, considered one of the greatest singers of jazz but also of Latin American music. "He was tall, very handsome, very black, with a unique voice, still beautiful. When he sang, he was not really a singer, he sang as he liked to sing, it was less rough than some jazzmen, but it swung just as much", Claude Carrière
An authentic return to the swing of the 1940s!
Simon Chivallon hosts the #PlaceAuxJeunes jam, one Sunday a month, accompanied by the talents of his generation, with generous tributes that speak to the greatest number. If jazz is a way of living music in the moment, Simon Chivallon is the embodiment of it, and each solo shows it by its spontaneity and its frankness. There is no room for pretence: what is played is what comes, a sensitivity that expresses itself, a talent that breathes and seeks to touch the listener.
