For the first time, Ana Carla Maza goes on stage as an author, composer, performer. This audacity came to her when the pandemic deprived her of tours. "I wrote from the inside, like a woman, whereas for a long time I only played music written by men," she confides. His unpublished compositions – nine titles in total with multiple musical influences – take us to Latin America.

From Bahia, which is an ode to the Cuban neighborhood of his childhood and which gives its title to the new album, to Tango, for a solo cello that transforms that of Astor Piazzola, passing by Next to Huayno, based on a rhythm and a Quechua dance from Peru. Ana Carla Maza roams. A wandering, which, above all, takes on the colors of a trip to the land of this "alegria" defined in his own words, as "energy of life".
