Maxime Boyer - Around Odds

Influenced by Lage Lund, Gilad Hekselman, Immanuel Wikins, Micah Thomas as well as John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk or Ornette Coleman, Maxime Boyer is a young jazz guitarist. A graduate of the CMDL (Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood), he offers a musical universe where tradition and modernity mix.

Around Odds is a trio he shares with saxophonist Sandro Torsiello and drummer Elias Arapoglou. The three young musicians develop their universe with covers and personal compositions based on the deep bond between the musicians. The group questions in a sensitive and familiar way the notion of sharing in a guitar/saxophone/drums formation that leaves no one indifferent.

Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain niche gave birth to a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies, allowing young artists to experience the stage, to prowl a repertoire, while presenting it to the public. A promising and buoyant niche where creativity and emulsion have no limit. #BeCurious!
