#Jazzdedemain Speranza Galez & Nicolas Ruiz

Born from the idea of two jazz musicians from Venezuela, Néo Métissage is a project that shares traditional music in a different way.

In 2015, Speranza Galez (singer and producer) met Nicolàs Ruiz (guitarist, arranger and composer) at the Venezuelan University of Arts where their first idea was born; that of a fusion between Venezuelan music and the language of jazz. Continuing to work together in various jazz groups in Caracas, it is in 2019 when they arrive in Paris that they decide to set up the idea of the Venezuelan project: Néo Métissage. The two musicians build their project around different styles of Venezuelan music such as "culo e puya", "merengue caraqueno", "tonada" or "San Millàn" and mix them, thanks to Nicolás Ruiz's arrangements, with the harmonic richness of jazz and different elements of world music.
