Matekita, whose real name is Công-Minh Pham, is a versatile pianist and keyboardist, fond of sound experimentation and multiform improvisation. He has been playing the piano since the age of 7, then trained by the codes of classical music and jazz, he opens the door to electronic music and its sonic transgressions very early. He established strong collaborations with artists of the international scene in France and abroad: Yasmine Hamdan, Sarah Lenka, Hakim Sulaiman, Rodolphe Lauretta, Nina Attal, Martin Meissonnier.
His music, subtle and unusual, mixes genres and plays with codes. Matekita cuts into the musicality of sound, as if it were a living raw material, to be transformed and reinvented. In his studio, he sculpts a universe between jazz, electronic music and sound experiments, which he transcribes on stage surrounded by Bruno Pimienta on drums, Emrah Kaptan on bass and Rodrigo Viana on guitar.
The album "And Then The Sun Rose In The West" was released on October 22, 2021 on the label TCHAÏ, distributed by InOuïe Distribution.
Bruno Pimienta: drums, spds
Emrah Kaptan: bass, moog bass
Rodrigo Viana: guitar
